The Production Management Intern will plan and stage shows for the REP's summer season, which includes two productions for the critically acclaimed 81 Series, a collaborative production of Shakespeare in the Park on location, theater rentals and an annual fundraiser.
The duties and activities encompass the technical aspects of the theater, which includes stage management, set design and construction, lighting, sound, costumes, props, finance and facilities management. He or she will work 40-hour weeks between June and August and receive a $350/week stipend.
The Production Management Intern will also participate in additional educational components provided by the Arts Commission and supported by a grant from the Getty Foundation.
To be eligible to participate, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Currently enrolled (full-time) in a community college, four-year college or university program, and have completed at least one semester;
* An undergraduate and not scheduled to graduate before December 2009;
* Either residing or attending school in Los Angeles County.
