(Santa Clarita, CA) – Newhall resident Stephen Daniels is proud to announce his candidacy for the Castaic Lake Water Agency Board of Directors after officially filing his paperwork on Friday, August 8. Daniels is seeking to represent Division 2.

“I’m running because I have a genuine concern for the future of this valley and the way Castaic Lake Water Agency is managing our water supply,” said Daniels. “I want to hold the CLWA accountable for the decisions that they’ve been making and continually ask ‘Can we do better?’ when it comes to serving the public.”

Daniels is a seven year resident and homeowner in Santa Clarita. Originally from Kentucky, Daniels first moved to the SCV when he attended CalArts where he received his Masters in Fine Arts degree. He now works as a Manager of Marketing and Communications for a homeless shelter for young adults in Hollywood.

Daniels first received notoriety when he entered the 2014 Santa Clarita City Council race where he garnered more than 1100 votes in a crowded field with little name recognition and money.

CLWA is a public water wholesaler that provides about 50 percent of the water that Santa Clarita households and businesses use. The election will be held November 4, 2014.

Stephen Daniels is married and has a three-year-old son. Daniels can be reached at 661-347-6467.
