Seconding Karen Kaplan’s letter regarding SCV films

Regarding Karen Kaplan’s letter of May 26, “Lousy films in the SCV,” I’ve been writing letters on this subject for a couple of years.

I have even written to corporate HQs for Edwards/Regal and Laemmle, but to no avail.

Recently my friend and I went to the Arclight in Hollywood. We saw two wonderful films, “Boyhood” and “Begin Again.”

We spent a lot of money, which was left in L.A. and did not spend in Santa Clarita, all because we wanted to see “grown-up” films.

One would think there would be some kind of outcry from people in the industry who live in this area, but haven’t seen anything yet.

We plan on going to the Arclight again to see “A Most Wanted Man” and “Magic in the Moonlight,” which will not play here, given our history.

That’s two films, lunch, dinner and gas for two people — all of that money will go to L.A. again. Just saying.
