Kudos to a caring mail carrier

Every once in a while, someone's act of kindness and compassion gives us hope about the world in which we live.

Last week, unbeknownst to us, our neighbor Betty fell inside her home. It was a serious incident. Our neighborhood mail carrier, Howard Heath, sensed something was wrong when Betty did not appear at her window and wave to him -as she has done for many years.

Concerned, Howard peered inside, noticed a fallen lamp and immediately called 911. Paramedics arrived and rushed Betty to the hospital.

Howard's action that day went above and beyond his duties. For Betty, they were very likely the difference between life and death.
We would like to commend Howard for his kindness, compassion and remarkably caring soul. We are proud that he is our mail carrier.
