A California Lottery “Fantasy 5” ticket worth $291,000 was sold at Gallion’s Corner Market in Castaic, lottery officials said Tuesday — the second winning ticket sold there.

Soubanhrio Sengphrachanh opted not to do the “quick pick,” but rather chose his own numbers. The winning numbers were 22, 27, 37, 14, and 4.

This marks the fourth consecutive “Fantasy 5” top prize win in the Los Angeles County since June 26, according to the California Lottery. The previous three winning tickets were sold in San Pedro, Whittier and La Crescenta.

“It’s impressive for any county to have that win history,” said California Lottery spokesman Gary Parashak. “L.A. County is a pretty lucky county.”

All luck aside, with nearly 9.9 million residents Los Angeles County is the most populous county in the nation.

Gallion’s Corner Market claims Sengphrachanh’s lucky ticket as its second “Fantasy 5” win. The previous was in February 2012 for $117,000.

“Certainly we’ve been lucky lately,” said Steve Gallion, owner of the market. “I think that maybe the whole thing is going better.”

Both Gallion and Parashak anticipate that a lot more “Fantasy 5” players will seek out the store for future purchases.

“Whenever there’s a big win in a store, there’s usually a big spike in buying lottery tickets from there,” said Parashak.

The store also receives a a bonus of one-half of 1 percent of the winning.

“Hopefully we could use some of that money to bring Gallion’s back to the glory days of old,” said its owner.
