This still from surveillance footage provided by the FBI shows a bank robbery suspect believed to be the Bombshell Bandit at a Wells Fargo in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

The “Bombshell Bandit” wanted for robbing a Valencia bank with the threat of a bomb early last month is now suspected in an Arizona bank robbery, a spokeswoman for the Federal Bureau of Investigation said.

On July 8, a woman FBI agents believe is of Middle Eastern or Indian descent entered a branch of Wells Fargo in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, FBI spokeswoman Lourdes Arocho told The Signal Sunday.

“We are still investigating to determine if the robber is the Bombshell Bandit,” Arocho said.

“As in any robbery, our agents share photos and robbery information with other FBI offices,” she said. “We have bank robbery coordinators assigned to most if not all the FBI field offices.

“This is what we know,” she said. “This robbery was at the Wells Fargo in Lake Havasu City, AZ on July 8, 2014.

“The suspect is believed to be a female of Middle Eastern/Indian descent. The note said she had a bomb, requested $100,000 in 10k stacks, and said she had a bomb strapped to her leg.”

The robbery in Valencia occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on June 6 when a woman passed a note demanding money to a clerk at the Bank of the West branch on Magic Mountain Parkway at McBean Parkway, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller told The Signal earlier this month.

“The suspect threatened a bomb when she robbed the bank,” Eimiller said. “We’re going to call her the Bombshell Bandit.”

On July 3, the FBI released three still images lifted from the bank’s surveillance video that depict a woman wearing glasses and what FBI agents believe is an auburn-colored wig.

“Victim witnesses said the suspect appeared to wearing a wig, auburn or brown in color, as can be seen in the bank surveillance photo,” Eimiller said, “but that her natural hair appeared to be black.”

She is described as either white or of Middle Eastern descent, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet, 3 inches tall and about 125 pounds.

“She passed a demand note and was seen leaving the bank on foot,” Eimiller said. “Prior to the robbery, she was seen casing other banks.”

In both robberies, the woman was able to leave the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
