Road Closures and Restrictions Planned for 4th of July Events

The City of Santa Clarita advises residents to anticipate road closures and restrictions on Friday, July 4, 2014 to accommodate 4th of July events in Santa Clarita. Traffic impacts are as follows:

The Annual Santa Clarita 4th of July Parade and Independence Day 5/10K

From 6 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 4:

Main Street closed in both directions from Newhall Avenue to Lyons Avenue Lyons Avenue closed in both directions from Railroad Avenue to Orchard Village RoadOrchard Village Road closed in both directions from Lyons Avenue to 16th Street16th Street closed in both directions

The City of Santa Clarita Fireworks Show

The following traffic impacts will remain in place until approximately 11:00 p.m.:

5 p.m.: McBean Parkway reduced to one lane on the northbound approach to Valencia Boulevard, and southbound approach to Magic Mountain Parkway6:45 p.m.: McBean Parkway closed in both directions between Valencia Boulevard and Magic Mountain Parkway7:15 p.m.: Eastbound Valencia Boulevard and eastbound Magic Mountain Parkway reduced to one lane between Citrus Street and McBean Parkway8:00 p.m.: Westbound Valencia Boulevard and westbound Magic Mountain Parkway reduced to one lane between McBean Parkway and Citrus Street
