A vehicle fire along the northbound side of Interstate 5 just south of Templin Highway ignited a one-acre grass fire that slowed traffic, an L.A. County fire spokesman said.

The fire started just after 2 p.m. and six fire engines started rolling to the scene at 2:16 p.m., said Steve Zermeno, Los Angeles County Fire Inspector.

Fire crews quickly got the blaze under control and squelched it by 2:30 p.m., he said.
