A Los Angeles man arrested during a brawl last August outside a Saugus bar pleaded no contest to one count of assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to three days in county jail for stabbing a 28-year-old man.

Michael Ketcham, 36, appeared in San Fernando Superior Court last month and entered a plea of no contest, District Attorney’s Office spokesman Ricardo Santiago said this week. Ketcham was also placed on three years formal probation.

He was arrested Aug. 17 after a brawl in the parking lot of Mabel’s Roadhouse in Saugus. Three victims suffered minor injuries and three people were investigated for misdemeanor battery, but only Ketcham was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, a felony.

The victim was stabbed in the arm.
