"This is going to be another fabulous year of fun and festivities with the Elks. Many people have heard of the Elks organization, but not everyone is aware of the good works we do for our community."

For example, the Elks:

n Give millions of dollars to handicapped children in California.
n Support hospitalized veterans with clothing and other necessities.
n Have the largest boy/girl sports event in America - the Elks Hoopshoot - with local, state and national contests that attract more than 3 million children annually.
n Sponsor eye examinations and give eyeglasses to thousands of children in California.
n Collect and redistribute more than $10 million annually nationwide through the Elks National Foundation.
n Sponsor Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, drug awareness programs and other local organizations through scholarships and monetary donations for needed materials and equipment.
n Have annual Easter and Christmas parties, Fourth of July and Memorial Day picnics for families of members.
n Hold an annual Senior Citizens' breakfast and donate food baskets to the needy families in the SCV.
n Have weekly family night (reduced price) dinners for our members, their families and invited guests.
