Firefighters enter a Metrolink commuter train as commuters are moved Thursday, June 5

IRVINE, Calif. (AP) — Officials say fire broke out in the engine of a Southern California commuter train and the nearly 60 people aboard were moved to the last car.

Steve Concialdi of the Orange County Fire Authority says no one was in any danger.

The fire occurred Thursday morning aboard Metrolink train No. 811 in Irvine. As a result, many other trains in the area were at a standstill and there were delays.

Concialdi says 56 people, including three in wheelchairs and three crew members, were taken to the back of the train, which has five cars.

There were no injuries.
