On Thursday, June 5, 2014, deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station’s Special Assignment Team (SAT) and the Summer Violent Crime Enforcement Program (SVCEP) conducted a multiple-location parole/probation compliance operation during the early morning hours.  The deputies were accompanied by a Los Angeles County Probation Officer.  This morning’s operation included locations in Canyon Country, Saugus, Newhall, and Val Verde.

This operation is part of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station's ongoing proactive efforts to ensure that convicted criminals living in the Santa Clarita Valley including the unincorporated areas are in compliance with the terms and conditions of their probation after release from jail.

Two arrests were made for felony narcotics violations and gang-related probation violation charges.  The names of the suspects are not being released at this time because deputies are still conducting active investigations regarding these violations.

These types of operations and others like it will continue throughout the year to ensure convicted criminals remain in compliance with their parole or probation conditions.  Criminals who choose to break the law and are caught will be arrested.  It is the goal of all deputies working in the Santa Clarita Valley to send a loud and clear message to criminals,  “Commit Crime? - Not in the Santa Clarita Valley!”
