The Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers announced today that Philip Solomon is taking over as the new chief executive officer of the organization. Solomon has served as Samuel Dixon’s chief operating officer for the past two years and has a long history working for non-profits.

“We’re very excited about Philip. He has over 21 years experience working in the field,” said chairman of the board Gloria Mercado-Fortine.

Since starting at Samuel Dixon, Solomon has been very involved in the day-to-day operations of the clinics.
“He’s been in charge of all the clinics that Samuel Dixon runs. He’s the hands on guy,” Mercado-Fortine said.

Solomon feels he’s ready to take on the new job.

“I feel very confident that we will continue doing the great things we’ve been doing and I’m very excited to continue that work,” Solomon said. “I’ve worked with Samuel Dixon for 2 years and it’s great to know that I will be continuing to work with the great team here,” he added.

The Samuel Dixon Family Health Center’s mission is to provide quality outpatient health care services and programs, health education, community resources and referrals for residents of the Santa Clarita Valley.
