Hillary’s sad Benghazi strategy

As Hillary Clinton prepares for her Democratic coronation as the next Democratic presidential candidate, she’s decided to try dealing with the inconvenience of the Benghazi tragedy through her new book.

I’m guessing that her handlers thought she needed to expand on her last response of: “What difference does it now make?”

Mrs. Clinton met with President Obama the day before her new strategy was released, no doubt to make sure they’ve got their stories straight about Benghazi.

Of course, I like what David Mamet once said: “Always tell the truth — it’s the easiest thing to remember.”
Instead, the strategy they’ve settled on is to demonize anyone who asks a question about Benghazi as politicizing dead Americans.

Don’t answer any direct questions, don’t admit any wrongdoing, and for God’s sake, don’t be honest and tell the truth.

She will gladly hide behind these dead heroes for political cover, but if you seek the truth, somehow you are the one exploiting these terrorist victims.

This is a familiar strategy. If you’re opposed to gay marriage — you’re a hater!

If you’re opposed to abortion — you’re at war with women!

And if you want answers about a terrorist attack that was blamed on a video — you’re politicizing dead Americans!

Tragically, this perverse political strategy to demonize opponents has worked well for Democrats, especially the Clintons.

Grab your barf bags. It’s about to get a lot worse.
