The best for others, in 2 flavors

Let’s stipulate that both sides of the political spectrum want the best for others (a fair assumption, especially since both sides insist that is so).

Therefore, it really comes down to whether or not you have faith in your fellow man.

Even in those cases where conservatives disagree with someone, they generallyrecognize one’s right to be wrong with their own life/decisions/property/etc.

Liberals generally assume a dubious and supervisory approach to others en masse, to the point of imposing that approach upon unwilling others.

Thus the necessity of big government and more laws for the liberal, and the necessity of limited government and less laws for the conservative.
