A joint sweep of Santa Clarita Valley street food vendors last week resulted in inspectors confiscating more than 10 food carts, sheriff’s officials said.

More then 30 vendors were contacted throughout the valley to make sure their permits were up-to-date and they were following public health laws.

By the end of the operation, more then 10 food carts were confiscated by the Los Angeles County Public Health Department.

“We assisted the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health in this operation in response to numerous concerns from Santa Clarita Valley residents, which were shared with both our agencies,” said Deputy Joshua Dubin.

No one was arrested as a result of the health inspections.
