Four people, at least two of them juveniles, were injured and taken to the hospital Saturday night following a traffic collision on Newhall Ranch Road, where the road becomes Golden Valley Road, near the overpass that crosses Soledad Canyon Road, emergency response officials said.

Shortly after 10:15 p.m. Saturday, paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to reports of a single-vehicle traffic collision on Newhall Ranch Road and Golden Valley Road, said Fire Department Inspector Melanie Flores.

“It was a traffic collision reported as persons trapped,” she said.

In the report filed by paramedics with the Fire Department, at least 4 people were injured and taken to the hospital, she said.

At least two of the victims were juveniles who were thrown from the car, said Sgt. Rich Nagler of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Paramedics in at least two ambulances treated victims at the scene.

“There were some juveniles in the car,” Nagler told The Signal Sunday morning. “At least two of them were thrown from the vehicle.

“There were some injuries,” he said.

The gender, age and condition of the victims was not disclosed.

About 10:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies closed both sides of Newhall Ranch Road at Bouquet Canyon Road.  The intersection remained closed for about an hour,
after the crash was reported.
