William S. Hart Park's recreation department proclaims 2009 as the "Year of the Family" and has slated the upcoming events in support of this effort:

Hart "Family Swap Meet"
Saturday & Sunday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Swap meet, displays, music and information services

Hart "Art ‘n the Park Fest"
Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Arts & Crafts, fine art, food, music and information services

Hart "My American Flag" Art Show & Contest
Friday-Sunday, July 3-5, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Juried objective & subjective American flag art contest & exhibition
6th grade through 12th, and adult artists, all media.

All art, craft, fine art, food and snack vendors, performing individuals or groups in music and dance are encouraged to participate in any scheduled event.

Vendor space fees are "family friendly" to encourage "home-preneur families" to participate.

This event season brings families and community together in a historic, safe and fun venue, just in time for the spring and summer.
