Local scouts plant flags for veterans at Newhall cemetery

300 Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and Brownies planted an estimated 5,000 American flags on the graves of people with military service in honor of Memorial Day at Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary in Newhall on Saturday.

Memorial Day services will be held at Eternal Valley at 10 a.m. Monday.
