Board members selected Vince Ferry, right, to be principal at Rio Norte Junior High School and Carolyn Hoffman, left, to be principal at Sierra Vista Junior High School.

Members of the William S. Hart Union High School District board voted Wednesday night to tab the new leaders for two of the district’s junior high schools.

Board members selected Vince Ferry to be principal at Rio Norte Junior High School and Carolyn Hoffman to be principal at Sierra Vista Junior High School.

Ferry has served as assistant principal of Valencia High School since 2007.

It's an honor to join the great Rio Norte family as its new principal,” said Ferry in a news release from the district. “I look forward to working with the students, staff and parents and continuing to support the great traditions that have been set in place.”

Hoffman has served as assistant principal of Golden Valley High School since 2008.

I am so honored to have been selected as principal at Sierra Vista Junior High School and look forward to collaborating and working with all the students, staff, parents and community members,” Hoffman said in a district news release.

The Hart district board voted in April to tab Rio Norte Junior High School Principal John Costanzo to take the helm at Valencia High School and Sierra Vista Junior High School Principal Mark Crawford to take over at West Ranch High School.

Costanzo will take over for Paul Priesz at Valencia and Crawford will take the helm from Bob Vincent at West Ranch. Both Priesz and Vincent announced their plans to retire earlier this year.

Costanzo, Crawford, Ferry and Hoffman will start in their new positions on July 1.
