It was an eclectic mix of upscale spring fashion from fun and flirty to dramatic and beautiful. Margo Hudson, owner of Margo in Newhall, hosted a sold-out soiree that offered lunch and fashion at Vines at the Hyatt Valencia.

Models for the event included Sheryl Geraci, Janet Hudson, Shelley Hann, Debbie Heys, Jenny King, Nancy King, Barbara Myler, Jacquie Petersen, Kathy Roberts, Betty Rabin-Fung, Missy Schweitzer, Sandi Naba, Kathy Swaine and Dora Zavala.

Each model strolled around the restaurant letting patrons enjoy close-up looks at the nearly 50 fashions on display.
Hudson, owner of Margo for more than 30 years, said spring 2009 fashion includes nearly every look.

““I love the fashions of today. There are fashions for everyone from the very young to mature women. There is a lot of color, but there is also always black and white, because it is very dramatic,” she said. “In fashion, almost everything is ‘in’ right now. We’ve got tight pants, we’ve got wide pants, we’ve got the low rides and we have the high rides. For once in my life I love what I see — you dress the woman for her body and her taste as well as career or and lifestyle.”

Hudson said the new “eclectic” style can be confusing.

“It confuses a lot of people, because they are accustomed to having people tell them what to wear. We’re dressing more and more like Europeans used to dress. It was eclectic — we can throw different stuff together and make it look good.”
