Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station are seeking the identity of a female who they believe was an upskirt photo victim, station officials said this week.

At approximately 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the Kohl’s store located at 24200 Valencia Blvd. Deputies were alerted that an adult man was taking video and/or photos up women’s skirts as they were shopping, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Station.

With the assistance of loss prevention employees, deputies detained the male suspect, identified only as a 35-year-old male from Green Valley, pending further investigation.

The suspect was placed under private person’s, or citizen’s, arrest for unlawful photographing for sexual gratification, according to the news release.

Deputies are attempting to identify the victim so a case can be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration and prosecution.

“The unknown female left the location without making a purchase and probably does not even know she was a victim,” reads the news release from the Sheriff’s Station.

The victim is described as African American or Hispanic and approximately 30 to 40 years old.

She was wearing a dress with a black-and-white pattern ending at the knee with black boots, carrying a large brown and a tan purse.

Anyone with information on the woman was asked to contact Detective Campbell at 661-255-1121 or at
