Jury selection is expected to begin in June in the case of a Canyon Country businessman accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill his wife, according to an official with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.

Spokesman Ricardo Santiago said Tuesday that the next court appearance for Dino Roy Guglielmelli, 52, is set for May 27.

“That will be the last continuance,” Santiago wrote in an email.

Santiago said jury selection is currently slated to begin June 5 in the case, though that could be either confirmed or changed at a hearing on May 27.

Guglielmelli is accused by prosecutors of the “attempted willful, deliberate and premeditated murder” of his wife, Monica Andreny.

A criminal complaint filed by the District Attorney’s office alleges he solicited Richard Fuhrmann to murder Andreny.

A 20-year resident of the Santa Clarita Valley, Guglielmelli was arrested Oct. 3 on suspicion of attempted murder, according to records from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

In 1993, he started a natural products company called Creation’s Garden.

The business started in Newhall but later moved to a location in the Valencia Industrial Center near Castaic Junction.
