Rancho Pico places 4th in Science Olympiad

It was a proud day for “Mustang” students on Rancho Pico's Science Olympiad team Saturday, March 8th, when they competed against 28 other junior high schools.

The events were held at Antelope Valley College.

Rancho Pico placed fourth overall, which advanced the students to the Southern California State Science Olympiad in Anaheim on April 5.

Coached by Mrs. Goldberg, the students placed first in Rocks and Minerals; second in Sounds of Music; third in Heredity, Disease Detectives, Simple Machines, Road Scholar, and Water Quality; fourth in Robocross; fifth in Boomilever and Metric Mastery; and sixth in Anatomy, Entomology, Wheeled Vehicle, Solar System, and Helicopters.
