Two more saddles on the Western Walk of Stars were unveiled Thursday night, with movie stars Charles Bronson and Steve McQueen being honored at a ceremony on Main Street in Newhall.

Though better known for his “Death Wish” movie series, Charles Bronson performed in a number of Western movies, including the 1968 epic spaghetti Western “Once Upon a Time in the West,” 1971’s “Red Sun” with an international cast, “Run of the Arrow” in 1957 and the classic “The Magnificent Seven” of 1970.

McQueen’s Western film credits also include “The Magnificent Seven,” along with “Junior Bonner” of 1972, “Nevada Smith” of 1966, and 1980’s “Tom Horn” with McQueen in the title role.

The induction ceremony is part of the 21st annual Cowboy Festival on the weekend of April 26 and 27. It was followed by a Senses street party in Newhall with the theme “Rockin’ Rodeo.”
