Pathetic reporting

I feel compelled to write this letter regarding the “Tossed paper causes incident at Canyon” article (April 1).

It is common knowledge that The Signal has less-than-good feelings toward Canyon High School, but this is ridiculous.

How such an incident was actually printed is disgusting. The details written are personal and slander this incredible teacher.

Did anyone research Mr. Dally’s history? Perhaps that would be a great story. It would be right in line with the other trash you feel obligated to print.

I am a subscriber to your paper and have thought about canceling my delivery due to the negative publicity Canyon High School receives.

I take personal offense to this article slandering Mr. Motherspaw.

Why don’t you do a little research on his character? You will find he is a very well-respected teacher who is adored by the students who have been honored to have him as a teacher.

Students who have not been lucky enough to have him have also gone out of their way to get to know him because of his reputation.

My children have attended and currently attend Canyon. Just because a citizen calls you to report an incident does not warrant your waste of the reporter’s time, the school’s time, and the ink to print it.

Surely you could have found a more newsworthy subject to print.
