The Easter Bunny greets a family at Summit Park on Sunday as part of the YMCA's Egg-stravaganza event.

More than 70 kids gathered Easter eggs at Summit Park on Sunday as part of the YMCA’s Egg-stravaganza event.

“It was really good,” said the center’s Youth Development Program Director Ryan Fowler. “The turnout was excellent.”

The “Egg-stravaganza” began with a breakfast at the Santa Clarita Valley Family YMCA on McBean Parkway. After breakfast, kids took part in an egg race and an egg toss before the actual egg hunt.

“It’s awesome,” said Bijal Jain, who brought her two 2-year-old daughters to the event.

Both her daughters gathered five eggs each, she said.

Kids posed with an adult-sized white bunny mascot, took part in games and crafts, and some like 2-year-old Riya and Rayna Jain got their faces painted.
