There was a garage burglary reported near the 18000 block of Annes Circle. In this incident the victim was unsure if her garage closed after she parked her car in the garage. When she came out to her garage the next morning she saw that several boxes in her garage had been ransacked. An “Xbox 360” was stolen along with 30 “Xbox” games.

An Assault with a Deadly Weapon was reported behind a liquor store near the 18000 block of Soledad Canyon Road. In this incident the victim used a racial slur towards the suspects. The suspects became angry and assaulted the victim. The victim sustained minor scathes and abrasions to his face and hands. The suspects in this case have not been located.

A shoplifting incident occurred at a business near the 16500 block of Soledad Canyon Road. In this incident the suspect entered the store, filled a shopping cart with soap and other hygiene products. She then attempted to exit the store without paying for the items. The items were valued at $727.00. The suspect was detained by loss prevention and booked at Santa Clarita Valley station.

As your zone leader I am inviting you to come and meet our new station unit commander, Captain Roosevelt Johnson. Captain Johnson and I are inviting (Canyon Country – Zone 8) community members to come together in an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships, and drink coffee. This event will be on May 7th at “Starbucks” at Sand Canyon Road/Soledad Canyon Road in the “Vons” parking lot from 10am to 12pm.
