Saugus Zone 4 Crime Report: assault investigated

Last week, the following Part 1 Crimes occurred in Zone 4:

An aggravated assault occurred near the 26300 block of Bouquet Canyon Road. A male suspect produced a knife while involved in an altercation with the victim. The case is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 27500 block of Artine Drive. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked vehicle and took a purse, a laptop and additional personal items.

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 27700 block of Ron Ridge Drive. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked vehicle and took several bags of baby clothing.

A theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred near the 22300 block of Pamplico Drive. An unknown suspect took a camera and additional miscellaneous items.

A theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred near the 22000 block of Nancy Place. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and took several pieces of clothing.

A petty theft occurred near the 27600 block of Susan Beth Way. An unknown suspect took a UPS package containing a rifle scope from the victim’s front porch.

As a reminder, please make an effort to lock your vehicles whether you are out running errands or parking in your driveway. Remember to secure all valuables in your trunk prior to leaving your residence, or leave them at home altogether. Most vehicle burglaries are crimes of opportunity and can be avoided by locking your doors and not leaving valuables in plain view.
