Brave New World Comics participates in "Free Comic Book Day" starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 2 at their location in the yellow Victoria Center, 22722 Lyons Ave., Newhall 91321.

Everyone who visits Brave New World will leave with some comics, absolutely free.

The event will also include games, prizes, art lessons, music, creator signings, gaming demos, Stormtroopers, photos with "Darth Vader" and a bake sale fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

A line usually forms by 9 a.m. so attendees are urged to arrive early.

On Sunday, Brave New World will host an "Alara: Reborn" release event. The six booster draft will cost $30.
