Newhall Zone 6: thefts reported

A look back at the crimes reported in the Newhall area last week.

A 1997 Nissan 200Sx was stolen from the 24400 block of Leonard Tree Lane, sometime between Wednesday the 26th at 10:30 p.m., and Thursday the 27th at noon.

A pair of boxing gloves was stolen from an unlocked vehicle Thursday morning the 27th in the 24200 block of Cross Street.  A witness said 4 unknown people were seen at 5:12 a.m. opening the vehicle, then walking away.

A business was burglarized in the 24200 block of Main Street Tuesday night.  The thief broke a window to get in and took items from inside.

Two incidents occurred at Hart High School.  Sometime between Friday night the 21st, and Monday morning the 24th, a lock and a door were damaged.  Then sometime Monday night the 24th a lock on a shed was damaged.

If you live near a school, or happen to be passing by and see suspicious behavior, especially at night, please call the Call the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s station at (661)255-1121 so we can check it out.  Your call could prevent damage or theft from our local schools.   

Remember to lock your doors and windows, don’t leave valuables in plain view, be aware of your surroundings, and report suspicious behavior.
