Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station's Robbery and Assault team seek the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect in an armed robbery at 12:47 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 at Art's Liquor Store, 18302 Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.

The male pictured at left entered the store, asked the clerk for change and then brandished a blue steel revolver. The suspect jumped over the counter and robbed the store. He fled the location westbound on Soledad Canyon Road toward Sierra Highway.

The suspect and the weapon are still outstanding and the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Detectives urge anyone who sees the suspect to avoid approaching or confronting him; instead, dial 9-1-1 immediately and deputies will respond.

The suspect is described as a male black, 25-30 years of age, 5'11" tall, 150-190 pounds. He was wearing a grey pullover "hoodie" sweatshirt, black pants, and a black backpack at the time of the robbery.
