Defining difference

When a conservative sees a product or service he likes overseas, he often thinks, “Someone needs to start a business and bring that to my area. Hey, maybe I could start it myself!”

When a liberal sees something he likes overseas, he often thinks, “My area is backward. The government needs to create a program to do that at home.”

This difference in approach may also explain why conservatives believe in (and donate more to) voluntary personal charity, while liberals believe in (and vote more for) government-forced redistribution.
