The pretrial conference for accused murderer Michael Dean Stephens was postponed Tuesday by Judge Barbara M. Scheper.

The conference was put off until 8:30 a.m. May 26. Stephens is accused of the murder of Joshua Pipho and of the attempted murder of Pipho’s friend, Chad Weitz, at a Stevenson Ranch party in November 2007.

Stephens, 19, is accused of stabbing Pipho, 20, and then running over him with a car and killing him at the party. As Weitz, 22, came to Pipho’s aide. Stephens then allegedly ran down Weitz and stabbed him 17 times.

Stephens was charged with murder and attempted premeditated murder by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
