In a bid to help prevent runaway film production, the Metropolitan Transit Authority executive committee approved a motion Thursday to streamline filming policies on MTA property.

“In addition to reforming our state’s burdensome regulatory and tax laws, our public sector agencies must also provide logistical incentives to counter the generous benefits other states are using to lure away our production,” said Supervisor Antonovich, who with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti introduced the motion.

Antonovich also plans to ask the county Board of Supervisors on Tuesday to call for state government reform so California can resume its competitive edge with other states in the filming industry.
