While spring-like weather has been around the Santa Clarita Valley for a while - some even say it's been summer-like weather - the season doesn't officially arrive until Thursday morning.

Spring is ushered into the Pacific Daylight Time zone at 9:57 a.m. Thursday. However, flowers have been in bloom around the SCV for some time.

Ironically, the first weekend of spring will see some of the lowest temperatures in weeks, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday is forecast to reach a high of just 69 degrees with a chance of drizzle. Saturday's forecast high is 66 in the SCV, but temperatures are due to start climbing again after that.
