Santa Clarita Valley residents enrolled in a water exercise class at the Santa Clarita Aquatics Center enjoyed the continuing warm weather Monday as Brandi Tyson led classes in one of the center's outdoor pools.

The winter swim season runs through the end of this month, after which a new spring schedule takes effect. Lap swimming is available any day but Sunday at specified times without signing up for a class. Beginning April 5, lap swimming is also available on Sundays.

A spokeswoman said Monday the spring swim season kicks off March 31, but swim lessons for children already have a waiting list.

For details about classes and lessons, contact any of the city's pools directly, the Aquatics Office at 661-250-3761, or the Recreation Registration Desk at 661-250-3700.
