A 28-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries Sunday following a traffic collision involving a car and a “Ninja” motorcycle, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Shortly after 10:30 a.m. Sunday, paramedics responded to reports of crash in front of Fire Station Number 156 on Copper Hill Drive, near Camino Del Arte Drive, said Inspector Ray Dong.

“We had one injury and he was taken to the hospital,” he said.

A green ZX-14 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and a gray Nissan Altima collided directly in front of the fire station in the southbound lanes of Copper Hill, just one block north of the fatal crash that claimed the life of Dylan Zimmerman a month ago.

There were no reports of injury suffered by the driver of the car, a man.

About 10:45 a.m., paramedics removed the injured motorcyclist’s T-shirt and black protective clothing at the curb.  They left for the hospital at 10:51 a.m., Dong said.

“He’s doing pretty good, considering,” firefighter Bryan Cook said about the victim, as he picked up parts of the shattered motorcycle.
