NEW YORK (AP) — New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says two women killed in an explosion that tore apart two apartment buildings earlier this week should be "examples to all of us."

Griselde Camacho and Carmen Tanco were both killed along with six others in Wednesday's explosion in East Harlem. Both were members of Bethel Gospel Assembly.

De Blasio joined congregants Sunday who remember the women for the faith and spirit.

The Spanish Christian Church was located in one of the two collapsed buildings. Members are joining another nearby church for its service.

Most of the rubble at the explosion site has been cleared away. Officials say the investigation into the cause should soon be underway.
