More than 700 participants joined in Saturday's Michael Hoefflin Foundation Walk/Run for Children with Cancer, raising funds for the Santa Clarita Valley-based nonprofit that assists families of children who are stricken with cancer.

The fourth annual event, sponsored by Boston Scientific, was held at College of the Canyons Cougar Stadium. Some 750 people signed up to participate.

"Our annual Walk for Kids with Cancer is a celebration of the lives of children and their families who have been affected by children’s cance," organizers said.
