A woman was injured and taken to the hospital Friday following a three-car traffic collision in Saugus, according to law enforcement and Fire Department officials.

Paramedics were dispatched to a crash near the intersection of Plum Canyon Road and Bouquet Canyon Road around 8:30 a.m., said Fire Department Inspector Keith Mora.

“One person was transported to the hospital,” he said.

“A Honda CR-V went through a red light and collided with a Mazda6, which then spun out and collided with a Nissan Frontier,” said Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s Sgt. Rich Cohen, who heads the station’s Traffic Bureau.

Deputies who responded to the collision called for additional deputies to help with traffic control, Cohen said.
