Santa Ana winds gusted through the Santa Clarita Valley on Wednesday, but officials reported no major damage.

The winds are expected to stick around until about 6 p.m. Thursday, according to a National Weather Service red flag warning that was issued for the area.

A red flag warning is called at times of high fire danger. Along with the winds come low humidity — a sometimes-volatile combination.
