Let’s keep the glitz and glamour here in California

Sunday night, March 2, I watched the 86th Oscars.

I enjoy watching actors, or anyone, receiving an award for their accomplishments in their professions.

The awards took my mind off the negative news that is pending around the world at this time.

It is true that the Oscars are a glitzy affair, but that is what they are supposed to be, and I take it in stride for what it is.

The Oscars are meant to entertain, and rightly so. After all, it is show business.

The pageantry is an elaborate spectacular procession of actors and actresses dressed in their finest. The actresses are showing off their beautiful gowns and the actors strutting down the red carpet in their tuxedos, and I might say looking very handsome.

There is no doubt that the women outshine the men in glamour, but it is nice to see the guys dressed so prim and proper for the occasion.

All the movie people deserve their awards, those in front of the camera and all of those behind the camera.

Their job is to entertain us, and they do just that.

Keep the cameras rolling, and hopefully part of the movie industry will come back to California where it rightfully belongs.
