Canyon Country East Crime Report Zone 8: deputies investigate burglaries

Last week, the following Part 1 crimes occurred in Canyon Country East: (1) Grand Theft Auto (1) Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2) Residential Burglaries (1) Vehicle Burglary (1) There were two residential burglaries reported in Zone 8 last week.

The first incident was reported near the 27000 block of Rock Rose Ln. In this incident the suspect pried open the bedroom window and stole a 48” Samsung TV, Omega watch, Apple imac computer and a platinum ring.

The second incident was reported near the 27000 block of Tyler Ln. In this incident the suspect entered an open garage and stole the victim’s wheel chair. The victim described the wheel chair as a “Karma” that is red with flames on it. A shoplifting incident was reported at the Los Primos Mexican Restaurant. In this incident the suspect waited for the cashier to leave the register. When he left the register the suspect stole approximately $300 from it and fled the location. The suspect was subsequently arrested a short time later after an observant patrol sergeant spotted the suspect running into the wash area.

There was a Grand Theft Auto reported from the 18000 block of Annes Circle. The suspect stole a 1985 Chevrolet El Camino from the victim. This vehicle had not been located. An Assault with A Deadly Weapon was reported near the 29000 block of Grandifloras Rd. The suspect and victim were friends and they got into an argument. One friend shot the other friend in the leg with a pellet gun.
