The city of Santa Clarita and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department hosts a free class for alcohol and drugs licensees on Tuesday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Santa Clarita City Council Chambers.

The seminar provides attendees with information on what is acceptable I.D., the best way to check I.D., how to refuse service and the criminal and civil liability for each business that holds a current ABC license.

A representative from the local office of the state of California's Department of Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) will discuss changes in state alcohol laws.

The curriculum is designed for licensees, managers and employees.

The class includes a free lunch and certification to all those who attend and complete the program.
