Santa Clarita-based Troop Real Estate, Inc. Realtor, Becky Sill, is preparing to train a team of Track athletes for the Special Olympics World Games planned for 2015.

Los Angeles, in 2015, will provide a global stage for thousands of athletes from around the world to share their talents and to captivate us all with their courage, determination and sheer joy.

LA2015, held from July 25 to Aug. 2, 2015, will be the largest single event staged in Los Angeles since the 1984 Olympics, and mark the historic return of the Summer World Games to the United States.

Featuring nine days of competition in 25 sports, and supported by 3,000 coaches and 30,000 volunteers, the venues will be world-class, including Athlete Villages at USC and UCLA and a star-studded Opening Ceremony at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, site of the 1932 and 1984 Olympic Games.

Becky Sill, who has been a successful real estate agent with Troop since 2010, began coaching for the SCVSO (Santa Clarita Valley Special Olympics) in 1999. She became a year round coach and integral part of developing their sport programs.

Becky also participated as a unified partner where coaches and athletes competed on teams together. Over the next several years since 1999, she coached teams to several gold medals and coached a unified floor hockey team to a Silver Medal at the State Level.

Today, Becky applies her skills and experience in track and field as head coach for the SCVSO Track team, and she anticipates an incredible upcoming competition in 2014, with the hopes that one of her athletes will be chosen to compete at the World Games in 2015.

“I am a coach at heart!” said Becky with a sparkle in her eyes. “I have wanted to be a coach since I was a little girl and desired to make a difference in other people’s lives. I started running track when I was in sixth grade.

“As an adult, my competitive nature helped me succeed in many aspects of my life. Volunteering with the SCVSO helps keep me grounded in one of my highest priorities – to be a positive influence in the lives of the people I meet.”

Becky Sill has implemented her coaching philosophy into her successful real estate career. She says, “Just like no two athletes are alike, no two buyers or sellers are alike.”

Becky, as a Realtor, prides herself in taking the time to really understand the needs of her clients, creates a personalized game plan, and then coaches her clients through the process so they can have the best experience possible.

"My job is to satisfy my clients," Becky said.
