Summerhill Villa in Valencia was recently sold, but the management team is expected to remain in place.

One of the Santa Clarita Valley’s senior living communities, Summerhill Villa, has been sold, according to an executive with realty firm CBRE’s Senior Housing Services Group.

Summerhill Villa had been owned and operated by MBK Senior Living of Irvine.

MBK sold both Summerhill Villa, located at 24431 Lyons Avenue, and another senior living community called Casa de Santa Fe located in Rocklin, California, to New York-based American Realty Capital.

However, MBK will continue to manage both communities on behalf of the new owner, said Terry Howard, president of MBK.

Management teams will remain the same, and residents won’t notice any changes in services, Howard said.

“It will be a seamless transition,” he added.

The deal for the two communities was a $104.5 million portfolio sale, according to Mary Christian, senior vice president of CBRE, who represented the MBK group in the sale.

Built in 2001, Summerhill Villa is an assisted living and memory care facility with 134 private units. It is reported to be 98.4 percent occupied.
