The College of the Canyons Theater Department will present the Tony award winning revival "A Doll's House" 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. today at the Black Box Theater in the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Valencia. "The Newhall Incident" 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society. A retired Newhall California Highway Patrol officer, Harry Ingold, one of the first officers on the scene following the massacre, will speak on the 1979 tragedy where four young CHP officers were gunned down on April 5, 1970 in the lot of a Standard Service Station next to J's Coffee Shop on what is now the intersection of the Old Road and Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia. April 11
City of Santa Clarita Eggstravaganza. Citywide egg hunts. 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11. Egg hunts will take place at Canyon Country Park, Central Park, and Valencia Glen Park. Assitance League of SCV 5K Run/Walk begins 6 a.m. Sunday, April 19 at Newhall Park. Corner of Newhall and Dalbey Avenue, Newhall. Run/walk will travel from Newhall Park to South Fork Trail and back and includes a 1K Kids Fun Run. Info: (661) 253-3144.

Travel Club meets at Barnes and Noble

Senior movie is ‘Calendar Girls'

Self defense for women

Start Smart class for teens at CHP
The Start Smart class is aimed at helping newly licensed drivers and future licensed teenage drivers become aware of the responsibilities that accompany the privilege of being a licensed California driver. Teens attend this class with their parent(s). The class is held at the Newhall Area California Highway Patrol Station, 28648 The Old Road, Valencia. COC Beer Tasting Event
College of the Canyons Foundation will host a beer tasting event 7 p.m. Friday, April 17 at the College of the Canyons Library, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Valencia. STARS Regional Dance Competition
The STARS Regional Dance Competition will be held at the Valencia High School Gymnasium 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Friday April 17 and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday April 18.  More than 250 STARS dancers from six different teams throughout California and Oregon will compete.  The dances will consist of routines in the Solo, Duet, Trio, Individual Team Routine, and Entire Team divisions in jazz, hip hop, lyrical and open categories.
