Santa Clarita Public Library hosts best-selling author Jamie Ford

The Santa Clarita Public Library invites residents to attend a FREE special evening with New York Times and international best-selling author Jamie Ford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Old Town Newhall Library, located at 24500 Main Street.

Sponsored by the Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library, Ford will speak about his debut novel, The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, which sold over one million copies, and his newest novel Songs of Willow Frost. Ford’s books will be available for purchase and signings.

A private reception with Jamie Ford will be held prior to the event at 6:00 p.m. and will include appetizers, beer, wine and desserts, with reserved seating available for the 7:00 p.m. author event. Tickets for the reception are $15.00 for Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library members and $25.00 for all other guests. Tickets are now on sale at the Santa Clarita Public Library circulation desks at all three branches or at SantaClaritaFOL.com.

In addition to the Author Event with Ford, the Friends will also host a book auction at all three library branches beginning Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. and continuing through Monday, March 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. The auction will feature a wonderful selection of rare and collectable books.

The Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library is an active group of Santa Clarita residents who volunteer, advocate and fundraise to meet the needs of the Santa Clarita Public Library. All of the proceeds from the events, fundraising efforts and programs sponsored by the Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library go towards providing new materials and programming.
