After Saturday’s regular-season finale against Hope International, The Master’s College basketball programs now look to the postseason. In addition, Mustangs baseball won its series against Menlo College, while men’s golf prepares for its annual home tournament, the TMC Spring Invitational.

Women’s Basketball

In its last showing of the regular season, The Master’s College women’s basketball team defeated the Hope International Royals 85-70 Saturday night at Bross Court.

TMC enters the postseason with a 22-7 overall record and a 10-4 GSAC record.

Saturday’s victory gave the Mustangs the tiebreak over Westmont College for the GSAC Tournament’s second seed.

On Wednesday, the Lady Mustangs will kick-off the conference tournament by hosting the seventh-seeded San Diego Christian Hawks (11-16, 2-12 GSAC).

Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

Men’s Basketball

After dropping its regular-season finale to the Hope International Royals 58-64 Saturday night at Bross Court, The Master’s College men’s basketball team (18-11, 6-8 GSAC) now turns its attention to the postseason.

TMC finished seventh in the GSAC and looks to the first-round of the GSAC tournament at No. 2 seed and NAIA 16th-ranked Arizona Christian (23-6, 9-5 GSAC) on Thursday evening. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.

Baseball

On a weekend when its series with Menlo College was reconfigured by a persistent downpour, The Master’s College baseball team, despite more bad weather, was able to get three games in against the Oaks, shutting out the visitors 1-0 in the opener, 11-2 in the nightcap, and 7-1 Sunday afternoon at Reese Field.

Saturday’s sweep was the 12th-ranked Mustangs’ fifth in 2014. At the end of the weekend, the squad improved its record to 22-3.

The Mustangs now look to next weekend when the squad will return to its GSAC schedule in a series against Westmont College. First pitch will be thrown at 2 p.m. on Friday at Reese Field.

Men’s Golf

Today and Tuesday, The Master’s College golf team will play in its annual home tournament, The TMC Spring Invite, at Robinson Ranch Golf Course.

The Mustangs will host CSU San Marcos, Cal Lutheran, Biola, William Jessup, Arizona Christian, Simpson, Victoria, Marrymount, Northwest Christian, Carroll College and Chapman University.
